As it turns out dancing isn’t just for fun. It’s by far on of the more enjoyable forms of exercise, and with that exercise comes a healthier lifestyle. There are many ways to work out, running, swimming, ect, but dancing is definitely the best.
1) It is an intensive cardio workout, and will strengthen your heart
If you’ve ever went out dancing you know what i’m talking about, it can be one heck of a workout.
2) It is as effective as running, but statistics say you are more likely to dance longer
I mean it makes sense. If someone asked me if I’d rather run or go dancing I wouldn’t have to think very hard about my choice. Running sucks and dancing is fun, it’s kind of a no brainer that you would do it longer.
3) Dancing has no definite rules.
When it comes to dancing, one of the core concepts is to follow how you feel. You get to listen to what you want and move how you want.
4) It is a great stress reliever
With all the physical benefits of dancing, you might as well throw mental health in the mix too. Dancing is very freeing, and is meant as a way to express yourself. When that happens you feel more relaxed and more like your true self.
5) Dancing is perfect for weight loss
if the heart health wasn’t enough, the varied speed that dancing entails causes the heart rate to fluctuate, making it optimal for burning fat and toning up.
6) It tones up your muscles
Since it is technically a cardio workout, that constant movement will keep your whole body active and keep your muscles toned.
7) It’s not as taxing as other workouts
What makes all the health benefits even better is that when you dance you also don’t have to work as hard. Well you actually do, but its fun so it doesn’t feel like it.
8) You can do it anywhere
You can do it anywhere from you home, to a studio, to a table at a bar. Users choice, and if anyone complains just tell them that you are exercising.
9) It increases your flexibility
All that movement and increased body control will have you touching your toes in no time
10) It makes you happy
The best thing about dancing goes beyond the physical benefits you get. The most rewarding reason to dance is that it makes you happy. People who dance are more likely to feel inner joy, peace , and happiness. Their bodies and minds are working together, sometimes even connecting with someone else, and all that can accumulate into a really rewarding experience. I mean who doesn’t want to be happy.
